The Parish lantern

The Parish Lantern is a family run pub situated on the A27 between Romsey and Salisbury in the Wiltshire village of Whiteparish.

For 15 years Landlord and Landlady Paul and Lorraine Cooper have been running the Parish Lantern, creating a welcoming, friendly enviroment for drink and dining for the whole family.

The ample grounds surrounding the pub provides space for children to run around and take advantage of the play equipment and also caters for up to 5 caravan pitches registered with "The Caravan and Camping Club" .

Whether you fancy a quick pint after work, a meal for a special occasion, a lunchtime snack at a reasonable price or an evening out with friends you will always get a warm welcome at the Parish Lantern.

Food is available every day of the week at lunchtime and every night. There are regular specials available thoughout the week, steak nights and currry nights and special priced lunches.

Parties can be catered for all through the year and special menus are available for occasions such as Christmas , Mothering Sunday and Father's Day.

Camping at the Parish

The Parish Lantern offers parking for caravans. Registered with the "Caravan and Camping Club" with a certificate for 5 caravans, the campsite to the rear of the pub offers an ideal base for visiting the pituresque New Forest, the Cathedral City of Salisbury and the Market tow of Romsey.

Around the Pub

We hope that you enjoy your visit to The Parish Lantern and will want to come back again. Around the pub we have tried to cater for most peoples requirements.

We have installed two flat screen digital televisions, arrange live music for most Bank holidays, there is a covered, heated smoking area descreetly situated to the rear.

There is a Cash machine in the bar, a pool table and we also run Darts and Cribbage teams.

Entertainment

Entertainment has always been something that customers visit the Parish Lantern for. Live music, performed by local talent is arranged for most Bank Holidays.

Televised sport can be viewed on the large plasma screen in the bar (terrestrial broadcast only).

Key dates on the calendar are celebrated at the Parish Lantern with special menus and activities. Easter is marked with the Easter Egg Hunt for the children. Father's Day had laser clay pigeon shooting.
